In 2023 alone, Simpson Nonprofit Services helped a variety of clients secure over a million dollars in grant funding, which led to her nomination for San Diego Magazine's Woman of the Year. “Infrastructure and Curriculum Development Grant Initiative” California State University, $105,000

The purpose of the grant was to add new service-learning components to courses across all the colleges at SDSU

“Environmental Champions Grant” SDG&E, $25,000

This grant was awarded to San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum and the purpose was to deliver STEM Workshops to students in underserved communities

“BGCEC Emergency Relief Grant” The Conrad Prebys Foundation, $250,000

This grant was awarded to the Boys & Girls Clubs of East County and providing general operating support during the COVID-19 crisis

“Oak Grove Exhibit” CNRA, $266,000

This grant was awarded to the Water Conservation Garden and the purpose was to build at new onsite exhibit

"STEM Activity Kits" Union Bank, $50,000

This grant was awarded to the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum and the purpose was to provide a civic engagement opportunity to Union Bank employees to assembly STEM Kits to be distributed to low-income students

"Mobile Children's Museum" The JEM Project, $75,000

This grant was to awarded to San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum and the purpose was to deliver STEM Workshops to communities of focus

“Summer of Learning and Joy Grant” The San Diego  Foundation, $44,000

This grant provided summer camp scholarships to low-income children living in San Diego’s east county.

“Mini-Grants for Families with Critically Ill Children” SITE SoCal, $35,000

This grant was awarded to the Mitchell Thorp Foundation and provided funding to families to cover the costs of essentials, equipment, and medical expenses not covered by insurance

“STEM Lab at Lakeside Clubhouse" Zable Foundation, $20,000

This grant was awarded to the Boys & Girls Clubs of East County and covered the cost of STEM supplies, equipment, and active learning furniture.

“Cares Act Childcare Grant" San Diego Foundation, $33,000

This grant was awarded to the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Diego to cover the cost of essential childcare during the COVID-19 pandemic.
